| Description | Elongin-C is a highly conserved protein found in a variety of multiprotein complexes in human, rat, fly, worm, and yeast cells [ ]. Budding yeast elongin-C homologue, Elc1, forms a complex with Cul3 that is required for Pol II polyubiquitylation and degradation []. Elc1 also plays a role in global genomic repair [].
