Protein Domain : Blastomyces yeast-phase-specific protein IPR006771

Type  Family
Description  The pathogenic dimorphic fungal organism Blastomyces dermatitidis exists as a budding yeast at 37 degrees C and as a mycelium at 25 degrees C. Bys1 is expressed specifically in the high temperature, unicellular yeast morphology and codes for a protein of 18.6kDa that contains multipleputative phosphorylation sites, a hydrophobic N terminus, and two 34-amino-acid domains with similarly spaced nine-amino-acid degenerative repeating motifs []. The molecular function of this protein is not known.
