Protein Domain : Cell division protein DivIC IPR039076

Type  Family
Description  DivIC was identified as a gene required for vegetative and sporulation septum formation in Bacillus subtilis [ ]. DivIC forms a trimeric complex with another two proteins that are essential for cell division, DivIB and FtsL. The trimeric complex localizes at the septum and is regulated during the cell cycle through controlled formation of the DivIC/FtsL heterodimer []. DivIC seems to stabilizes FtsL against RasP cleavage [].
