Description	Early region 3 (E3) of human adenoviruses (Ads) codes for proteins that appear to control viral interactions with the host [ ]. This region called CR1 (conserved region 1) [] is found three times in Human adenovirus 19 (a subgroup D virus) 49 Kd protein in the E3 region. CR1 is also found in the 20.1 Kd protein of subgroup B adenoviruses. The function of this 80 amino acid region is unknown. This region is probably a divergent immunoglobulin domain.
