Description  This is a family of conserved fungal proteins which contain DUF3818 and PXA domains, including YPR097W from budding yeast and C663.15c/C1450.12 from fission yeast. According to SGD database, YPR097W may play a role in regulating the distribution of ergosterol in yeast cells, and it has been suggested to name it Lec1 for Lipid-droplet Ergosterol Cortex 1.
