Protein Domain : Protein NDNF, C-terminal IPR045805

Type  Domain
Description  This is the C-terminal domain of protein NDNF (Neuron-derived Neurotrophic Factor). NDNF is a glycosylated and disulfide-bonded secreted protein expressed in brain and spinal cord that promotes migration and neurite growth of hippocampal neurons. It also promotes endothelial cell survival, vessel formation and plays an important role in the process of revascularization. This domain contains one of the two fibronectin type III domains (FnIII) present in NDNF and one of the two potential consensus sites for N-linked glycosylation [ , ].
