Description  Alpha adaptin is a heterotetramer which regulates clathrin-bud formation. The carboxyl-terminal appendage of the alpha subunit regulates translocation of endocytic accessory proteins to the bud site. This ig-fold domain is found in alpha, beta and gamma adaptins.
